THE CHALLENGE

Pawfect Pals needed to connect dog owners with available walkers while making the booking experience feel simple, trustworthy and approachable. The challenge was to design an experience that supported two audiences: dog owners looking for a walker and people wanting to become walkers, while creating a strong sense of community and trust.

WHAT I LED

Competitor and market research, brand and visual direction, information architecture and user flows, website UX/UI design, booking journey, walker registration experience, account functionality, chat functionality between owners and walkers

OUTCOME

The final concept created a friendly, approachable digital experience that connected dog owners and walkers through browsing, booking, account management and direct communication.

UNDERSTANDING
THE OPPORTUNITY

DESIGNING FOR TWO AUDIENCES

Pawfect Pals needed to support two distinct user journeys: dog owners looking for a walker and walkers looking to connect with new clients.

I mapped the key journeys and considered the different needs, behaviours and interactions required by each audience.

This helped establish the structure for the platform and identify potential friction points before moving into interface design.

CREATING THE
VISUAL DIRECTION

BUILDING A FRIENDLY AND TRUSTWORTHY BRAND

I developed the visual direction through competitor research, moodboarding and exploration of: Logo, Colour, Typography, Illustration, and Imagery

The visual language was designed to feel playful and approachable while still giving dog owners confidence when choosing someone to care for their pet.

MAPPING
THE EXPERIENCE

CREATING CLEARER USER JOURNEYS

I developed user flows to map the key pathways through the platform, including browsing, booking, account creation and walker registration.

This helped identify opportunities to simplify navigation and create a more intuitive journey before developing the final UI.

DESIGNING
THE BOOKING EXPERIENCE

MAKING BOOKING SIMPLE AND REASSURING

The interface was designed to make it easy for dog owners to browse available walkers, review profiles and make a booking. I also introduced direct communication between owners and walkers, helping users ask questions and build confidence before making a booking.
